Welsh Freestyle Open and Boatercross 1st May 2016
It will soon be upon us with the inaugural Canoe Wales, CIWW, Canoe Kayak Store, GB Welsh open.
Competition wise there will be categories for males and females split into age groups and ability so don’t worry about your level as there is something for all so come enter and enjoy the fun.
There will be trade stands with demo freestyle and creek boats for you to try boats. (Free demos.)
We will also be offering some freestyle coaching sessions for flat and moving water at £5 per session for the sessions listed below.
Normal park and play prices/ T’s and C’s also apply until 14.00 whereupon you must have entered one of the events.(which you will receive a bib for to use for the day)

Freestyle kayak.
10.00-11.00 Flatwater freestyle 6 spaces.
11.00-12.00 Flatwater freestyle 6 spaces.
10.30-11.30 moving water- spins, hole positioning. 4 spaces.
11.30-12.30 moving water- spins, hole positioning. 4 spaces.
13.30-14.15 10c adult coached session loops and cartwheels 4 spaces.
13.30-14.15 10c youth coached session loops and cartwheels 4 spaces.
10.30-11.30 Sup try a board coached session 8 spaces.
11.30-12.30 SUP try a board coached session 8 spaces.
There will be mixed water i.e. rafts and park and play on the course until 15.00, from which point it will be kayak and canoe only.
Welsh Open.
Bookings will be announced online soon through the GB freestyle group for entry to the boater x and the Freestyle comp. this must be done a week before the event and is simple to fill in.
13.30-14.00 sup race. Mixed heats time trial. Fastest time wins. (Entries on the day.)
14.00-15.00 Welsh open flatwater freestyle novice competition. (Entries on the day.)
15.30-18.30 Welsh open Freestyle comp heat TBC on the day.
16.00 Welsh open Boater x event begins heats TBC on the day.
