This three day High Risk Confined Space (6150-03) course is relevant for persons who work in areas up to and including NC Level 4 High Risk environments and incorporates the use of self-contained breathing apparatus.
The course Delegates will gain knowledge of the specified hazards that may exist in confined spaces gain an understanding of best working practices and safety procedures that should be used when working in these conditions.
The course content will be delivered through a mixture of both theory and practical exercises and will cover the following subjects:
Prepare to enter and work safely in high risk confined spaces and exit accordingly
Use equipment and tools safely and in accordance with manufacturers’ specifications
Follow procedures and work safely
Deal with emergencies
Use appropriate behavior for working in high risk confined spaces
Use general knowledge for working in high risk confined spaces
Apply industry specific knowledge for working in high risk confined spaces
Use of Self Contained Breathing Apparatus
Assessment
Assessment will be by practical assessment and a multi-choice written paper. All persons who successfully complete the practical and written test will receive a City & Guilds 6150-03 Certificate in Working in High Risk Confined Spaces.
The certification is valid for 3 years.
