The Rescue 3 SFRBO course is the go-to qualification for today's water rescue professionals. It is 4 days in length (including 1 night exercise), pre-requisite is either RYA Powerboat Level 2 & SRT or Rescue 3 FRBO qualification.
The SFRBO course is intended for emergency services or rescue teams who will be required to carry out rescues in a swiftwater and flood environment. It gives a swift water capability suitable for fast-moving rivers and flash flood conditions. It is based on the philosophy of self-protection and application of low to high-risk solutions.
Pre Course Requirements
Swiftwater & Flood Rescue Tech, (SRT) RYA Powerboat Level 2
CIWW Provides all other specialist equipment required to take part in this activity - e.g. wetsuits, wetsuit boots, helmets and buoyancy aids. If you have your own White Water Specification equipment, you are welcome to bring it along. If you choose to wear your own wetsuit/drysuit, it must be full-length.
