RYA Level 2 Powerboating

This 2 day course covers the skills and knowledge needed to safely drive a powerboat. It focuses on:

• Launching and recovery
• Boat handling at slow speeds
• Introduction to driving at planning speed
• Collision regulations
• Securing to a buoy
• Anchoring
• Leaving and coming alongside
• Man overboard recovery

Upon successful completion candidates will also be able to apply for the International Certificate of Competence

Courses will be taught by an experienced RYA Powerboat Instructor .

Requirements

*Participants must be a minimum age of 12

Under 16s will have their certificate endorsed

Some of the course may be held offsite - you will be required to provide your own transport.

1. Towel
2. Swimwear & thermals/thin fleece to wear underneath the drysuit that CIWW will provide.
3. Passport Sized Photo
4. £1 coin for locker
